International Certification

The PMP® Certification is awarded by PMI USA; it is PMI's most popular credential and is internationally recognised. Training and education organisations do not award the credential. Their role in the process is to meet one of the eligibility requirements i.e. delivering 35 hours of formal training.

 

To be eligible to sit for the PMP® (Project Management Professional) examination, a candidate must first meet the following specific education and experience requirements:

 

1.

With Hons Degree 

A four-year degree (bachelor's or equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.

2.

Without Hons Degree

A secondary-level diploma (high school or equivalent) and at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.
