Construction Project Manager – Shannon

Fantastic opportunity to join a thriving manufacturing company in the Shannon area.

Key Responsibilities

* Uses appropriate project methodologies and systems to ensure comprehensive planning, execution, control, and closure of projects, within scope, on time and on budget.
* Deliver project which meets organisation standards, statutory and compliance requirements, and minimises equipment downtime.
* Understands business and project risks and constraints, plans and manages them accordingly.
* Lead plant and equipment installations and modifications, from concept to qualification.
* Equipment and process design, evaluation, and optimisation.
* Management of external design firms during projects.
* Management of all site drawings and drawing management system. Preparation, revision and control of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s) and site civil/mechanical drawings.
* Attain in depth technical knowledge and understanding of the plant equipment, unit operations and utility systems in order to enhance its performance as part of project specific initiatives.
* Management of on-site contractors and ensures compliance with site procedures. Issues and oversees appropriate work permits and controls that are in place.
* Advocate of highest safety and quality compliance on site, proactively identifies and resolves any such issues. Participates in site safety initiatives and planning.
* Training compliance at all times.
* Provides On-Call support and attends site Call-Outs, outside of normal working hours.

Skills and Qualifications

* Engineering Degree (Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical) or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ project lead experience.
* Multi-disciplined engineering experience, knowledge of mechanical, industrial and facilities technologies and equipment.
* Project management experience is essential, PMP certified preferably.
* Chemical or Pharmaceutical experience is preferrable technical knowledge of production processes and operations.
* Knowledge of automation systems would be an advantage e.g. SCADA, HMI, DeltaV, Siemens.
* Process safety knowledge and experience including ATEX regulations (EX/IS systems), HAZOP’s and Risk Assessments.
* Must be able to read Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s).
