About this Role:

This role will be responsible for managing the implementation of projects on a day-to-day basis mainly digital projects but also across a range of regulatory, operational, on/off boarding projects. Ensuring delivering the project in accordance with approved Project Management methodologies and Pepper SDLC, ensuring a high level of customer service whilst adhering to all controlled policies, procedures, and legislative requirements while minimising risk.

This role reports to the Head of Strategic Projects and is part of the Pepper Change Team, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple digital projects in different stages and full e2e project lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management and Delivery

* Effectively deliver assigned projects to ensure Pepper Advantage can meet its commitments in the execution of mainly digital but also regulatory, operational and information technology initiatives.
* Work with business stakeholders to define the project scope, requirements & timelines.
* Plan, lead, monitor and report (to all levels) on the work of project teams to ensure delivery meets functionality, quality, cost, and time commitments.
* Co-ordinate delivery with relevant departments; manage, monitor, and control internal resources to deliver project objectives.
* Analyse actual performance against the plan and adjust accordingly with plan objectives.
* Define and embed a strong and proportionate level of governance throughout the project.
* Define, own & manage communication for the project at all levels, project, customer, Change Leadership, ExCo.
* Throughout delivery ensure strong lessons learned principles are embedded.
* Be the driving force behind the project.

Customer / Stakeholder Management

* Identify stakeholders (internal & external); define and implement a communication plan to ensure the project delivery meets expectations.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders / customers.

Risk management

* Define and build the appropriate level of contingency into the plan to protect time, cost and quality objectives.
* Create and maintain a risk & issue log, agree owners and mitigating actions, escalating where appropriate.
* Holistically analyse risk across the project and take corrective action promptly.
* Co-ordinate testing programmes to ensure rigorous User Acceptance Testing is conducted to minimise risks.

Financial Management

* Build the business case, manage the project budget, and ensure processes are in place to track costs.
* Ensure any deviations from the approved project budgets are reported.

Key Performance Indicators

Achievement of Peppers commitments in terms of digital, regulatory, operational and information technology initiatives.

* Achievement of goals as set for each project and within timeframe and budget
* High level of customer/stakeholder satisfaction measured by feedback.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Track record or operating at a senior level.
* Project governance, clear and concise weekly project reporting

Essential Skills & Experience

* Digital experience is a must/demonstrate key digital projects delivered.
* Experience working as a Project Manager in Financial Services/Insurance.
* Experienced in delivering multiple projects end to end and management throughout the full project lifecycle, on time and within budget.
* Ability to take a ‘Hands On’ approach where required.
* Experience working with senior & C suite stakeholders.
* Experience leading and directing teams in a fast paced, pressurised environment across multiple locations.
* Able to adapt and respond to changes in projects, environments, and priorities.
* 3rd party management experience.

Essential Qualifications

* 3rd Level Qualification – degree and/or masters.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

* Jira experience – manage boards, create reports.
* Professional Qualification in Project Management e.g., Agile, PMP, Prince2
* Financial services experience and knowledge of financial products
