Senior Program Manager

Job Description

Please note that you will be required to travel to our customer's office in Dublin once or twice a week.

As a Program Manager, you will be the primary liaison between the executive leadership and the program team. Leveraging your extensive experience in program management and PMO operations, you will oversee the successful execution of complex initiatives. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, effective communication with stakeholders and meticulous management of program resources.

Required Skills:

* Proven track record of success in program management roles, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives
* Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
* Extensive experience in PMO operations, with a deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
* Excellent leadership abilities, with a focus on driving collaboration, fostering innovation and inspiring high-performance teams
* Demonstrated expertise in risk management, resource management and strategic planning
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is highly desirable
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred

Key responsibilities & duties include:

* Executive Interface: Serve as the front-of-house representative for the program, providing regular updates, insights and strategic guidance to the executive leadership team. Ensure alignment of program objectives with organizational goals and priorities
* Program Oversight: Take ownership of the end-to-end program lifecycle, from initiation to closure. Define program scope, objectives and deliverables, and establish clear timelines and milestones. Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes
* Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, project sponsors, and functional leaders. Facilitate productive communication channels, manage expectations and address concerns in a timely and effective manner
* Data Analysis: Utilize past data exposure to analyse historical project performance, identify trends and extract valuable insights. Leverage data-driven decision-making to drive continuous improvement and optimize program delivery processes
* PMO Expertise: Draw upon your extensive PMO experience to establish and enhance program management processes, methodologies and standards. Implement governance frameworks, project controls, and reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency, accountability and compliance
* Resource Management: Effectively allocate program resources, including personnel, budget and equipment, to support project activities and meet program objectives. Optimize resource utilization, minimize dependencies, and proactively address resource constraints
* Risk Management: Lead risk identification, assessment and mitigation efforts across the program portfolio. Anticipate potential obstacles, develop contingency plans and escalate issues as needed to mitigate risks and ensure project success
