About The Land Development Agency
The Land Development Agency (LDA) is a commercial, semi-State body that seeks to maximise the supply of affordable homes on public and other land in a financially sustainable manner, supporting the creation of thriving communities and delivering ongoing positive social impact. It is overseen by an independent board of directors and is funded with €5 billion of equity capital committed by the Government.⯠It is also permitted to borrow up to €1.25bn
The LDA has commenced construction on a number of projects on State land and has a delivery pipeline in excess of 17,000 homes. It also works in partnership with the country’s largest and most experienced homebuilders and will deliver a further 8,000 homes under the Government’s Project Tosaigh initiative.
Additionally, the LDA is working on large-scale longer-term strategic areas by master-planning and bringing forward planning applications in locations such as Limerick Colbert Quarter, the Digital Hub in Dublin and Sandy Road in Galway.
The Role
Project Planners play a vital role in ensuring that projects stay on schedule and within budget. They will monitor project implementation and work with the Project Management team to improve efficiency and reduce delays. They will collaborate with teams and stakeholders on plans for short and long-term resource allocation and programming. They will maintain clear, concise records on programming processes and resourcing updating as required. They will identify and evaluate risks capable of delaying delivery of the project and they will be central in establishing mitigation measures.
The ideal candidate will have all necessary technical and commercial acumen required in delivering landmark projects, but importantly will need to be a team player with the drive, work ethic and adaptability to respond to the exciting challenges of the LDA mandate.
Role Purpose/Duties
Responsible, in general, for project controls and aiding with the management of all activities associated with organizing, arranging, planning, preparation, scheduling, forecasting, critical path analysis, manpower & cost data, relevant progress reporting and time-recovery strategies.Responsible for projecting a clear understanding of project scopes, monitoring the progress of projects throughout their life cycles, creation of work programme schedules and estimation of the resources to deliver the projectResponsible for ensuring that construction projects are kept on track through creation, maintaining and reviewing a programme of work including defining all the relevant processes, procedures and policies required for any specific planned project and identifying specific actions as required providing a clear roadmap for a project, ensuring resources are met and can be monitored from project commencement .Analysing phases of projects to determine budgets, assist in tracking project costs and advising implementations to stay within budgetsIdentification and evaluation of risk that can derail project delivery and providing solutions for mitigationPreparation of stakeholder reports and collaborating with teams on company resource scheduling
