About the Opportunity
AuxiliaGroup Recruitment is currently hiring an IT Project Manager on behalf of our client, an established company within the insurance sector. This is a daily rate contractor opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Support the transition from a legacy system to a new, modern platform.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for assigned workstreams within the program.
- Liaise with business analysts, system architects, QA, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of requirements, priorities, and deliverables.
- Work with external vendors and implementation partners to track deliverables, resolve issues, and ensure contract compliance.
- Collaborate with data teams to plan, test, and validate data migration activities to ensure accuracy and integrity during cutover.
- Oversee the planning and execution of system and user acceptance testing for assigned components, ensuring alignment with requirements.
- Support training and change activities by coordinating with business teams to prepare end users for the new system.
About You
Requirements:
- 5+ years of IT project management experience, ideally involving complex system upgrades or replacements in insurance, financial services, or similarly regulated sectors.
- Proven track record managing technology projects that include data migration, integration, and business process alignment.
- Strong understanding of insurance operations, particularly policy administration processes.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field; certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum credentials are desirable.
