Who is IPM?

The Institute of Project Management (IPM), founded over 30 years ago, is a specialist organisation offering education, certification, and membership services in project management. Since its establishment in 1989, IPM has trained more than 40,000 professionals and certified over 6,000 project managers. IPM is recognised worldwide as a global authority solely focused on project, programme, and portfolio management disciplines. IPM is also a member of the International Project Management Association (IPMA®) – the first professional project management association – together with a federation of over 70 countries across six continents.

One of IPM’s greatest assets is its industry-focused faculty. Each member is academically and professionally qualified and experienced in the practical application of project management in real business environments. IPM Professional Diplomas

IPM offers integrated EQF and IPMA® professional body qualifications via certified diploma programmes.

The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is an eight-level, learning-outcomes-based framework for all types of qualifications that functions as a translator between various national qualifications frameworks. The EQF was set up in 2008 and later revised in 2017. This paradigm improves qualification transparency, comparability, and portability and allows cross-country and institutional comparisons.

Accreditation

IPM has achieved accreditation from Technological University Dublin, allowing IPM to offer access to NFQ Level 8 & 9 Special Purpose Awards which equates to 15 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). The accreditation also validates the following aspects:

Curriculum: IPM offers a comprehensive and rigorous project management curriculum that covers all aspects of project management.
Faculty: IPM has highly qualified faculty members who are project, programme, and portfolio management experts. These faculty members have the practical experience and academic qualifications which enables them to deliver quality education and training.
Standards: IPM follows international standards and best practices such as those set by the IPMA and PMI. These standards ensure that IPM graduates are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the working world.

Assessment

To obtain the diploma, candidates will be assessed through various components such as self-assessment, written project, or a 3-hour online exam – the type of assessment will be different per diploma.

IPM Agile Certificate 

To succeed in an age of rapid change, organisations must assess, react and adapt faster than ever. An agile mindset, a focus on value, and an iterative approach to planning are the way forward.

IPM Agile Certificate validates your knowledge about key Agile principles and frameworks to help you launch your accredited career as an Agile Project Manager. This credential contributes 21.0 PDUs (Professional Development Units) to the record of your Continuous Professional Development.

Certified Agile Project Management offers you this credential. By joining this 3-day course, you will also earn the IPMA Agile® International Professional Certification.

IPM Scrum Certificate 

Scrum is the most popular Agile methodology, according to the 16th State of Agile Report. Research shows that 87% of respondents currently leverage Scrum in their organisation.

IPM Scrum Certificate validates your strong understanding of Scrum and how to lead a Scrum team to successful project completion. This certificate is more than just course attendance; you must pass the final written examination to get the certificate – the pass rate is 60%. In addition, IPM Scrum Certificate contributes 14.0 PDUs (Professional Development Units) to the record of your Continuous Professional Development.

By joining the PSM Scrum Master course, you can earn this credential and prepare yourself for the Professional Scrum Master™ (PSM I) certification exam by Scrum.org.
