The OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the rollout of a national public transport technology programme for our client, a leading public sector organisation in Ireland. This role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a strategic and forward-thinking programme aimed at modernising Ireland’s public transport infrastructure. You’ll be working as part of a central programme team,reporting into the Head of PMO & Portfolio.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide PMO and project delivery support for the programme, ensuring adherence to governance and lifecycle standards.Oversee assigned workstreams, supporting project planning, stakeholder management, issue resolution, and reporting.Maintain project controls, stage gate documentation, and ensure quality assurance across deliverables.Support integrated planning, risk and dependency management, and forward scheduling of change (FSOC).Facilitate capacity management, onboarding, and induction of new team members.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing, and development of project management best practices.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including vendors, technical teams, and governance boards.
Ideal Candidate ProfileDegree qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, IT, Engineering).Certified in Prince2, PMI, or equivalent project management methodologies.Minimum 5 years' experience in a PMO or project management role, preferably within large-scale public sector or transport-related programmes.Proven track record of supporting or leading project workstreams in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.Strong working knowledge of project lifecycle management, governance, and reporting.Advanced proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Visio, and experience with PPM tools.
