About the Opportunity

The Project Manager/Lead will be responsible for managing all aspects of 0-1 construction projects, from initial site inspection to final delivery. This role involves overseeing site evaluations, collaborating with architects and designers, preparing materials, hiring and managing a full project team, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a proven track record of building projects from the ground up and is comfortable with frequent travel to South America.

Responsibilities

  • Site Inspection and Planning: Conduct thorough site inspections to assess feasibility and requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Design and Architecture Coordination: Work closely with architects and designers to develop project plans, blueprints, and specifications. Ensure designs align with project goals, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Material Preparation and Procurement: Identify, source, and procure high-quality materials within budget constraints. Manage supply chain logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
  • Team Hiring and Management: Recruit, onboard, and lead a diverse project team, including contractors, engineers, and laborers. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
  • Project Execution and Oversight: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues to keep projects on track. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams. Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and challenges.
  • Travel and Site Management: Travel regularly to project sites to oversee operations, conduct inspections, and address on-site challenges. Adapt to varying site conditions and project requirements across different locations.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on 0-1 construction or development projects. Fluency in English is a must; Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) is preferred. Proven track record of successfully delivering projects from inception to completion. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent organizational, budgeting, and time-management skills. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar). Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50% or more, depending on project needs). Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities. Valid driver’s license and passport for domestic/international travel.
