Senior Project Manager – Financial Services (18-Month Contract, Hybrid, Dublin South)
Job DescriptionOur client, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This role will focus on a large-scale transformation project within the banking sector, requiring strong project management expertise and stakeholder engagement at the senior executive level. The position operates on a hybrid model, with three days on-site in South Dublin and two days remote per week.
Job ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a large-scale transformation project within the banking sector.Engage with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project objectives.Oversee project governance, risk management, and delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to achieve project milestones.Develop and maintain detailed project plans, progress reports, and risk assessments.Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial industry standards.Drive continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies and best practices.
Experience RequiredMinimum of 8 years’ experience in project management, ideally within financial services or banking.Proven track record in delivering large-scale transformation projects.Strong knowledge of stakeholder management at the C-suite level, with the ability to influence and negotiate.Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks in the financial sector is desirable.Ability to work effectively in hybrid environments, managing on-site and remote teams.
Desirable SkillsPMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications.Agile or Scrum Master certification is advantageous.Experience with banking transformation projects or regulatory change programmes.
Educational RequirementsThird-level degree in Business, IT, Finance, or a related field.
