Senior Project Manager

About the Opportunity

We are currently wishing to employ an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage challenging Civils / MIECA projects in the water sector. The successful candidate will oversee contracts from pre-commencement through to operational handover, ensuring timely completion within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee build only or design and build contracts for public and private clients
• Lead a project team including design staff, project staff, sub-contractors, and support staff
• Support senior management in achieving contract objectives
• Responsibility for project management, project control, engineering management, and construction
• Liaise with internal and external design teams, providing technical guidance
• Develop and maintain client and stakeholder relationships
• Resolve performance, scope, cost, and schedule issues
• Plan project deliverables and develop resource-loaded schedules
• Implement health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures
• Prepare accurate status reports
• Achieve project financial performance and overall project delivery objectives

About You

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• 8+ years water and wastewater industry contracting experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of water and wastewater design and operational processes
• Good contract knowledge
• Successful track record in delivering infrastructure contracts
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Preferably a Chartered Engineer
• Competent in Microsoft Project programming software
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
