MEP Project Manager – Life Sciences – County Mayo

Job Description

One of Europe’s leading general contractors that is a big player in the mission critical and life sciences sector across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe, are actively seeking a MEP Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex life sciences schemes valued at €50m+. The project is a complex pharmaceutical project for a world renowned, market leading client in the industry and is based in the Mayo, west of Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity to transfer into a booming sector and will continue to do so over the coming years. The mission critical and life sciences sector is the fastest growing sector in construction and the need for its infrastructure will continue to grow for many years to come. With the order book full until 2026, there is excellent scope for a high-performing MEP Project Manager to play a crucial part in this growth.

Our client is open to both self employed and permanent contracts for the right candidate. Accommodation, flights and allowance are also available for candidates relocating to the UK from another country.

MEP Project Manager Responsibilities:

* Work with the construction Site Managers and advise them on all M&E aspects of the project
* Work closely with the M&E Design Coordinators and Consultant Design Teams and deal with technical queries
* Co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions and resource
* Be actively involved in the detailed review and analysis of the information received and the coordination of that information
* Set out project milestones and ensure they are met, on time and within budget.
* Work collaboratively with the site administration team to ensure make subcontractors have up to date information on the project
* Monitor M&E site progress

The ideal MEP Project Manager Candidate will have:

* A strong track record of managing large scale MEP packages
* Life sciences/pharmaceutical experience is ESSENTIAL
* Good knowledge of varied M&E construction techniques and there implementation
* Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to organise
* Ideally Previous experience of leading and implementing a range of fit-out projects
