Project Director – Energy Policy Development
Ireland’s energy sector is facing unprecedented change as it transforms to meet global sustainability challenges and the ambitious objectives set out in government objectives. Our client are currently supporting a number of significant challenges.
They have a portfolio of offerings which serve to scope out and design an evidence-based growth trajectory, for example long-term value based growth (e.g. sustainability plans & prioritization; business model reinvention; operating model transformation), macro-strategic planning (e.g. macro-trend analysis; strategic outline case) and transformation design (e.g. transformation roadmap design; purpose-led transformation; strategic implementation planning).
Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
* Degree qualified in Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, process).
* Extensive experience and understanding of EU and national energy policy.
* Strong technical understanding and knowledge of the Irish power system.
* Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from across the energy sector.
* Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on high quality report writing and ability to communicate effectively with customers and business stakeholders.
* Lead engagement and coordination with partners and customers including meetings, reporting, relationship management, and general communication.
* Prepare and present project approval papers for the Executive and Project Boards.
* Facilitate project reviews and audits by internal and external parties as required.
* Experience managing/leading teams, excellent organisational skills and strong track record of delivery.
