Group Risk – Investment Firm

Our client is a privately owned entrepreneurial investment firm operating across Europe and the US. The firm invests in a wide range of sectors and is currently driving a significant transformation programme across the group. They are looking to hire an Operational Risk Manager to work alongside the Group Head of Risk. This individual will take ownership to develop an operational risk framework and be the lead manager on the design and roll out of investment and strategic risk across the group. Part of your role will be to work on investment risk - however, this is a smaller percentage of your time. This is a highly visible role within the firm, where you are tasked to strategically implement risk governance plans and work closely with their senior leadership team and the board.

The Candidate

* Min 10 years’ experience in operational risk in an agile investment firm
* Some exposure to fund/investment risk
* Prior experience delivering a risk transformation programme
* Detailed knowledge of risk management practices with some knowledge of modelling, scenario analysis and risk mitigation
* Demonstrable experience with modern risk tools, decisioning systems & AI
* Exposure to public and private markets would be ideal
* Ability to be “hands-on” and strategic in a leadership role
* Gravitas and ability to communicate, influence and engage with senior executives across multiple locations
