Finance Director – Construction

On behalf of Construction firm with international growth plans, we are looking to hire a Finance Director.

The Finance Director will occupy a critical role within the business, devising strategy, forecasting and planning, as well as leading others within the vision of the business.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee all financial activities of the business.
* As a key member of the Management Team, provide the Managing Director with strategic financial management advice.
* Undertake financial planning and direct the financial operations of the business, from high-level to project planning levels.
* Monitor cash flow and raise investment as needed.
* Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency, and provide cost savings.

Requirements:

* Fully Qualified Accountant with 10+ years’ experience, ideally within the construction / engineering / technical business sectors in multinational business context.
* Strong people management skills with a focus on the development of the team, building succession and growth potential in the team.
* Experience of overseeing preparation of budgets and managing active forecasting of income and expenditure.
* Experience of compliance for organisations across different EU countries is desirable.
* Debt/ equity raising experience preferred.
