Business Development Manager

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Professional or dynamic Business Development Manager to drive our client's growth and success. If you have a background in technical sales, particularly within the environmental or pharmaceutical sectors, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Collaborate with management to establish annual sales strategies and targets for various sectors.
* Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Identify and secure new business through face-to-face meetings while maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing clients to drive retention and upselling.
* Market Awareness: Stay updated on current and emerging markets, as well as our comprehensive range of services.
* Project Onboarding: Work closely with the operations, logistics, and laboratory managers to ensure seamless onboarding of new projects and exceptional client service.
* Marketing Collaboration: Partner with the marketing team to align sales strategies with marketing initiatives and enhance the Southern Scientific brand.
* Proposal and Tender Preparation: Prepare tenders and proposals in coordination with the Managing Director, Operations, and Finance Director.

Qualifications:

* Relevant Qualification in a Science or Technical field.
* Proven experience in a sales role, preferably in the environmental or pharmaceutical sectors.
* Ability to compile and present detailed sectoral sales, market, and customer analyses.
* Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
* Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
