As a Commercial Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in assessing and analysing risks associated with commercial insurance policies. You will collaborate closely with our clients, brokers, and internal teams to ensure accurate underwriting decisions and provide exceptional service. The Role

This role requires all-inclusive analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with brokers and clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

* Reviewing allocated risks, and deliver underwriting and pricing decisions, following agreed processes at the designated authority level, to secure profitable business within the agreed risk appetite.
* Contributing to technical audits and peer review processes as required to support and enable the maintenance of an effective control environment.
* Liaising with your colleagues/sub brokers/portfolio manager on a day-to-day basis on all scheme related issues and developing relationships with them.
* Negotiation with brokers & portfolio managers.
* Process Policies, Schedules and Endorsements on both Underwriting and Broker Systems, creation / issuing relevant documentation.
* Assuming responsibility for project assignments as directed the Team Leader/ Operations Manager.

Qualifications

The Requirements

* Hold CIP qualification.
* All-inclusive Commercial Fleet experience i.e. Property / Liability / Motor.
* Robust analytical & numerical skills.
* Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suites in particular – excel.
* Be proactive, flexible and demonstrate a keen willingness to assist fellow colleagues.
* Must also demonstrate good interpersonal, organisational, and analytical skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines, pay attention to detail and thrive in an environment that is always changing.
