Role Overview

The Director of Services - Prevention, Youth & After Care Services at Focus Ireland is a pivotal leadership position within the organization. This role is instrumental in driving Focus Ireland's mission to prevent homelessness and support young people. The successful candidate will be a strategic visionary, experienced leader, and passionate advocate for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Services will be responsible for a multifaceted role encompassing strategic leadership, operational management, people development, stakeholder engagement, and financial stewardship.

* Develop and execute a prevention homelessness strategy, focusing on youth.
* Align organizational goals with Focus Ireland's mission.
* Foster a culture of innovation and improvement within services.
* Oversee service area operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.
* Optimize resource allocation to maximize impact.
* Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a positive work environment.
* Develop talent through mentorship and coaching.
* Build strong relationships with government agencies, nonprofits, and community partners.
* Represent Focus Ireland effectively at external events.
* Develop and manage budgets for the Prevention, Youth & After Care Services division.
* Ensure financial sustainability and accountability.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of:

* Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading large teams and managing complex programs.
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies aligned with the organization's mission.
* Operational Excellence: Demonstrated success in managing day-to-day operations and achieving key performance indicators.
* People Development: Experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
* Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of the homelessness crisis, particularly youth homelessness and aftercare services.
* Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
* Passion and Commitment: Strong belief in Focus Ireland's mission and a deep commitment to social justice.

Essential Criteria:

* Relevant degree in social care, policy, psychology, or business.
* Proven senior management experience, including strategic planning, team leadership, budget management, and project delivery.
* Strong IT and presentation skills.
