Title: Project Manager
Department: Irish Workforce (South)
Reports To: Contracts Manager
Job Overview: The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various projects within CET Connect. This role involves managing project schedules, resources, and manpower to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will also be responsible for maintaining communication with the Senior Management Team and ensuring that project goals align with the organization’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
* Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
* Coordinate and lead project meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment among team members.
* Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
Team Management:
* Supervise project team members, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
* Assign tasks and responsibilities as required, ensuring that all roles are clearly defined.
* Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Resource Management:
* Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, through accurate and weekly forecasting.
* Ensure that all necessary resources are available and utilized efficiently.
* Identify and address any resource-related issues or constraints.
* Allocate project lead and relevant manpower.
Risk Management:
* Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
* Communicate risks and mitigation plans to the senior leadership team as required.
Stakeholder Communication:
* Maintain regular communication with project managers, clients and senior management.
* Provide regular project updates and reports.
* Ensure senior management expectations are managed and met.
* Be the point of contact with the client’s site representative from project inception to end.
* Submit any RFI’s (Requests for Information) as required to client to manage project scope.
Quality Assurance:
* Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
* Implement quality control processes and conduct regular quality reviews.
* Correspond with quality coordinator to address any quality issues promptly and effectively.
* Manage installation quality and record any defects.
Health and Safety:
* Manage health and safety requirements and liase with health and safety team as required.
* Ensure all security procedures are adhered to.
* Escalate health and safety issues to health and safety manager.
Budget Management:
* Monitor project budgets and ensure that projects remain within financial limits.
* Track project expenses and report on budget status.
* Identify and address any budgetary issues.
Skills and Competencies:
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Word).
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Working conditions:
* This position will be based in the Clonmel Office, with travel to sites required also.
