Data Analyst Research Project Manager

Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to provide research expertise and support to the CP&I manager as well as a number of divisions within the company. Specifically the role will include the management of a large scale, continuous quantitative research programme of strategic importance to the company and key stakeholders.

Management and Delivery of continuous quantitative research programme

Data Management and Analysis

Sample management – calculating and monitoring monthly quotas

Weighting – calculating and monitoring monthly weights, monitoring weighting impacts on data (and any associated challenges)

Data interrogation and quality checks

Data integration - running bespoke data calculations combining multiple data sources

Ensure quality of data outputs (tables, reports, custom data queries)

Project Management

Liaise with supplier agency on a weekly basis to monitor fieldwork progress and project challenges

Monitor project scope, timelines and budget

Monitor the overall quality and delivery of the programme

Insight development

Co-ordinate insight led research reports and presentations which meet bespoke objectives.

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to generate then interpret relevant data points

Run bespoke analysis to answer internal and external data queries

Assess and contribute to the findings of research projects provided by external agency partners.

Produce insightful research outputs (either directly or working with external agency partners e.g., research, advisory or design agencies).

Deliver impactful presentations on findings to internal audiences.

Assist in creating, editing, and posting communications for external audiences.

Stakeholder Management

Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and business units within the company, built on a firm understanding of their strategic goals and objectives.

Support relationships with the industry and other external stakeholders.

Respond timeously and appropriately to internal and external queries.

Carry out all other duties as required and participate as a full member of the CP&I team by supporting different projects, as required.

The flexibility to travel domestically is an element of this role.

Essential Criteria

The successful candidate will have the following essential skills and criteria:

Proven quantitative research experience with a solid background in running research projects and delivering impactful reports/presentations.

Excellent understanding of statistics and analytic techniques

Experience in employing a range of quantitative analytical techniques to identify and explore data trends and insights.

Proven experience in creating and executing quantitative analysis plans.

Strong focus on detail.

The ability to work within a team and work with on the job coaching.

Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

The ability to manage senior stake holder relationships.

In order to be eligible to apply for this role you must have / demonstrate in your application form the following:

Minimum of 4 years’ research experience either within: a consumer-driven organisation (preferably FMCG / CPG) or a research agency / supplier.

Proven experience in quantitative research techniques.

Proven experience in conducting quantitative analytical plans.

Proven experience in designing, planning, and facilitating research projects.

Evidence of excellent time-management and organisational skills whilst working across multiple projects.

Ability to use PowerPoint, Excel, IBM SPSS Reporter to a high standard.

Qualifications/Mandatory Training

A Professional Qualification (minimum Level 6 under the QQI Framework) in a related discipline is essential

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

Involvement/experience in a range of different research projects is (i.e., tracking, concept tests, ad testing, innovation, and so on).

An awareness and understanding of different models addressing human decision-making (e.g., behavioural economics) is preferred, but not essential.

Membership of either the MRS or Esomar.

Have engaged in MRS and /or Esomar training events.
