Our client offers an extensive range of services, including Communication, Dissemination, PR, Public Affairs, Training, and HR and Career services to a diverse clientele in both the public and private sectors across Ireland and the EU.

As our client's portfolio continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced EU Project Director to lead their expanding European projects team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and an inspiring leader with proven expertise in overseeing complex projects, driving business development, and developing innovative proposals. We seek a forward-thinking professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can build, manage, and motivate high-performing teams while engaging effectively with senior management and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide strategic oversight and leadership for all communication and dissemination (C&D) activities across Horizon Europe projects.
* Lead the development and execution of comprehensive C&D strategies, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
* Spearhead business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and writing compelling proposals for European-funded projects.
* Oversee the creation and dissemination of news items, blogs, press releases, and reports, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, the media, and the European Commission, acting as a primary point of contact and ensuring satisfaction and sustained engagement.
* Guide the planning and execution of seminars, conferences, and events, maximizing visibility and impact.
* Direct the management of client social media profiles and the development of digital content strategies to enhance online presence.
* Attend project meetings, provide strategic input, and prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Monitor and manage project dissemination budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
* Conduct market research and leverage insights to inform strategic decisions and proposal development.
* Mentor, coach, and manage team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Requirements:

* A degree in a relevant field, with advanced qualifications preferred.
* Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in project management, including a track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing large-scale, EU-funded projects.
* Demonstrable experience in business development, including proposal writing and client engagement.
* Strong strategic, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
* Proficient in social media management and online communication strategies.
* A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for innovation and growth.
* Willingness to travel within the EU.
