Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of Business Development to lead our efforts in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), licensing, and commercial agreements. This role is critical to our growth strategy and will involve close collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Identify, evaluate, and execute M&A opportunities that align with the company's strategic goals. Lead due diligence processes and negotiations.Licensing: Develop and manage licensing strategies to acquire and out-license technologies and products. Negotiate and finalize licensing agreements.Commercial Agreements: Oversee the development and execution of commercial agreements, including partnerships, collaborations, and joint ventures.Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, investors, and industry leaders.Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the company's long-term strategic plan and ensure alignment with business development activities.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Qualifications:Advanced degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field (MBA or PhD preferred).Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.Proven track record of successfully leading M&A, licensing, and commercial agreement initiatives.Strong negotiation and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
