Senior Engineering and Design Manager

Datacenter People is a specialized recruitment company working with a Global Main Contractor who are looking for a Senior Engineering and Design Manager to join their team in Ireland.
As a senior member of the design team the primary purpose of this post is to guide and direct the Project design team to achieve the project’s overall objectives. You are responsible for ensuring that designs are carried out to the highest possible technical standard using the most commercially effective solution making sure that Health and Safety legislation is followed with respect to the design process and to maintain production efficiency within the project design team.
ResponsibilitiesEnsuring the design team meets all project deliverables with adherence to budget, quality and scheduleManage the project team, including all support staff such as DES, EngBIMAttend/Lead meetings such as IR Check in, Package out, Staff Meeting, Ops etcParticipate with project management to provide technical input for strategic planningSupport onboarding/upskilling manager with technical evaluations of staff
Experience/QualificationsDesign Management experience with at least 5yrs in Data CentresSound knowledge with broad experience in design, installation and management of multi-disciplinary design servicesWell organised and capable of organising others with the ability to manage people, processes and timeTeam player with an energetic outlook able to educate and improve design team staff to achieve best resultsAbility to analyse and monitor project requirements including programme, resource & cost
