Company Overview:Our client is a highly regarded main contractor with a strong track record of delivering high-quality Residential & Commercial construction projects across Ireland. Known for their professionalism, innovation, and commitment to excellence, they are now seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of a landmark hospital rebuild project in Longford.
Role Overview:The Project Manager will take full responsibility for the successful execution of the hospital build through to completion. This is a high-profile healthcare project requiring strong leadership, exceptional organisational skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex builds on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the project team in the planning, execution, and delivery of the hospital build.Coordinate all phases of construction, including procurement, scheduling, health and safety, and quality assurance.Manage subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and efficient project delivery.Monitor progress against project timelines, budgets, and key milestones, implementing corrective actions as required.Liaise closely with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and exceeded.Ensure full compliance with all relevant health & safety and building regulations, including BCAR and hospital-specific requirements.Maintain clear project documentation and reporting for senior management and stakeholders.Lead site meetings, oversee inspections, and resolve any issues that arise on-site.
Requirements:Minimum 8 years of construction experience, with at least 2 years in a Project Manager role.Proven experience managing large-scale healthcare, public sector, or similarly complex builds.Strong understanding of Irish building regulations, BCAR, and HSE standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.Proficient in construction management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, etc.).Valid Safe Pass and other relevant certifications.
