Asset Care Manager (Maintenance Manager)
The Asset Care Manager will focus on achieving Site Asset Care targets and meet and exceed required asset care standards. He/she will be required to co-ordinate and control all the activities within a craft function on a production site to meet targets in H&S, production, quality, environmental, maintenance, people & cost. He/she will play an integral role in driving the Society’s asset care strategy by leading System Compliance, Service/Vendor management and Reliability Engineering.
Responsibilities
* Promote a safety culture within the site and set and monitor adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety standards and procedures.
* Overall leadership and development of the maintenance team in conjunction with Site Manager & Day to day management of maintenance department function including PPM of all equipment and maintenance of IGMS asset management system
* Liaise with Ops team to ensure factory layout and maintenance practices meet 6S standards
* Implementation of Maintenance Systems to best practice standard, including 24/7 cover management
* Manage quality and safety of outside contractors while on site.
* Planning, recruiting, organising, managing and developing key resources within the Asset Care Team to create and sustain a high-performance work team to drive overall plant performance;
* Management/maintenance/control and reporting of on site services and utilities in adherence with Quality & EH&S regulations.
* Responsible for developing the annual asset care budget, controlling spend within budget and improving asset care costs without adversely impacting upon business performance.
* Promote a culture of excellence by ensuring all plant equipment and automation systems are maintained to a standard that does not compromise defined quality standards or right-first-time production and that any changes are made in accordance with the change control procedures.
* Optimise plant reliability to facilitate delivery of required volumes and deploy CI problem solving tools & techniques to address any downtime issues.
* Delivery of operational and strategic projects that support the asset care strategy, business strategy and site performance.

Role Structure/ Qualifications
* Reports To: Head of Milling & Grain Operations
* Direct Reports: Site based fitters (2), apprentice fitters (2) electricians (2) and craft contractors (4)
* Key Interactions: Key member of site management team.
* Qualification Required: Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline (Maintenance, Engineering, Asset Strategy)/Trade qualified (Mechanical/Electrical)
* Work Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years’ experience at management level.
