The business area European Wind and Solar (E) is responsible for development and ownership of wind, grid services and solar assets in Europe. The business area is also responsible for the project execution of large projects in Statkraft, the group procurement function and development of new business opportunities.

Job Description

Statkraft are looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager in the delivery of its renewable program. Based in our Cork office, the Project Delivery Unit team are responsible for project execution of large-scale infrastructure renewable projects such as onshore wind, solar and grid services, across Ireland and the UK. Reporting to the Programme Delivery Manager, the role will allow the right candidate work on high value projects within the renewables industry. It is anticipated the role will have a mixture of office & site-based activities and will provide opportunity for rapid professional development.

The main responsibilities will be as follows:

* Assist in the project management of our renewable projects at construction stage.
* Support the delivery of projects within a safe working environment and industry best practices.
* General contribution to the construction of wind, solar, battery storage & other renewable energy projects competence in Statkraft, including development and maintenance of excellent environmental and HSSE standards.
* Assisting with managing early-stage feasibility studies for projects which includes managing external consultants.
* Support the management of project budget as per Statkraft Project Governance and Capital Project Model (CPM).
* Assist in managing the use of internal company resources, including Procurement and Legal to support projects.
* Assist to successfully deliver project consent, route to market, land rights, grid etc and maturing projects towards completion.
* Ensure Statkraft’s requirements are met for our renewable projects at various stages of development and construction to include organising, leading and ensuring effective management and administration of the Project as per the Statkraft Capital Project Model (CPM).
* Coordination of project team including external consultants, contractors, and essential service providers.
* Reporting on KPI status to the Program Team.
* Ensure communication, co-operation and co-ordination between the different stakeholders of the Project and with other parties with interfaces to the Project (Region, Country and Corporate).
* Ensure efficient and regular project meetings and recording of minutes and agreed actions. This includes (but is not limited to) general internal project reporting, tracking of project spend & progress, tracking of project payments & variations and various project management documentation compilation and maintenance.
* Using Statkraft internal tools for payments, project tracking, safety, contract management, risk management etc.
* Develop industry competency and share knowledge with your team.

Qualifications

* University degree in engineering or natural sciences with experience preferable.
* Previous experience with electrical high voltage construction or renewal energy projects would be an advantage.
* Clear affinity with renewables and ideally relevant working experience in the renewable energy industry in particular the construction processes and environmental assessments renewable energy projects.
* Understanding of renewable energy technology with experience of contracts and technical appendices for main technology supply contracts.
* Strong communication, relationship building and good management skills including organisational ability and a target oriented; demonstrated ability to prioritize.
* MS Office 365, Project (or equivalent), AutoCAD (preferably).
* Ability to concisely frame issues by providing context, analysis, recommendations, and risk/benefit, both in written and verbal format to project team.
* Project Management qualification is desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
