Description

BDO Irelands Audit Department is growing, and we have an open vacancy for a Manager within our Financial Services Team. You will join an experienced team and work with a diverse portfolio of clients across various financial services sectors, including asset management, aircraft leasing, securitisation, special purpose vehicles, and pension schemes.

Key Responsibilities & Relationships

* Manage a portfolio of clients of variable sizes across the financial services sector.
* Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients.
* Coordinate and project manage the allocation of staff resources to jobs.
* Lead teams on the planning; execution; and completion of audits
* Provide technical auditing and accounting assistance to team members and clients.
* Report directly to partner/director on engagements
* Assist with managing the team's financial performance e.g. agreeing and billing of fees; cash collections; monitoring recoverability of WIP etc.
* Will be involved in the design and delivery of technical training.
* Participate in the coaching, mentoring and appraisal of staff.
* Manage and coordinate proposals for new work.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

* ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years PQE
* Strong experience leading audits in the Financial Services Sector
* Can demonstrate strong technical auditing and accounting skills, including knowledge of the ISAs and IFRS
* Positive attitude and a high level of personal drive
* Strong multitasking skills and ability to handle challenging deadlines and function effectively in changing circumstances
* Proven management skills and behaviours
* A strong market/commercial awareness
* Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, and able to manage and motivate teams with team
