Senior Automation Project Manager | Pharmaceutical | IT/OT

Location: Athlone, Co. Westmeath, Ireland. 2/3 days onsite

a multinational pharmaceutical company is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Project Manager to oversee manufacturing projects with a focus on automation, as well as IT/OT responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex automation projects within a manufacturing environment and be adept at integrating IT and OT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage large Capital automation projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements.
* Collaborate closely with the process design team to enhance design for manufacturability and design for automation.
* Work closely with the IT team to ensure Automation Architecture and design are secure and that the OT layer integrates well with the IT layer of ISA-95 architecture.
* Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts focusing on Automation Systems Integrators and OEM suppliers in Europe.
* Provide technical oversight of all automation project phases, including design, development, validation, testing, commissioning, and implementation.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
* 10-15 years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably within IT & OT in projects in the OSD

Pharmaceutical Industry:

* Experience with IT & OT implementations and infrastructure, preferably in production areas.
* Experience from a large global company and ability to work effectively with different cultures.
* Managed vendor & stakeholder setup.
* Proficiency in relevant automation technologies and software platforms S95 Level 3
* Deep knowledge of automation applications with successful development and deployment experience.
* Deep knowledge and experience in one or more fields of automation including material handling, tracking, and movement (vision-guided vehicles, autonomous mobile robots, RFIDs), controls engineering, robotics and collaborative robotics, automation safety and safety standards, machine vision, industrial networks and cybersecurity, software programming, data architecture, analytics, and visualization, and manufacturing operation management (MOM).
