Failte Solar, based in Shannon, is Ireland's leading solar products distributor, serving over 60% of Irish solar installers. With an extensive portfolio of high-quality solar products (Panels, Inverters, Batteries and Accessories) from our manufacturers, we ensure that homeowners and businesses serviced by our customers get leading edge products that meet their solar energy needs. Due to unprecedented growth, we are currently seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The individual will service our current customer base, alongside targeting new accounts to grow our presence.

Responsibilities:

New Sales Growth:

- Drive new sales in the assigned jurisdiction, meeting and exceeding monthly and annual revenue targets.

- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and lead generation.

Account Management:

- Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients, serving as the main point of contact for their solar product needs.

- Develop strategies and plans for account growth, through acquired customer knowledge and staying on top of opportunities within your portfolio.

- Conduct regular check-ins with installer clients to understand their own growth and requirements and recommend solutions.

- Collaborate with the sales, customer support, warehouse and delivery teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.

Product Knowledge:

- Develop an in-depth understanding of the features and benefits of our manufacturers solar product portfolio.

- Effectively communicate product specifications and advantages to both potential and existing customers.

- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in solar energy.

Customer Engagement:

- Provide exemplary customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.

- Conduct in-person and online product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition of our solar products.

- Collaborate with installers to understand their specific job needs and recommend appropriate solar solutions.

Reporting and Analysis:

- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback in our Hubspot CRM.

- Provide regular sales reports and updates to management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

- Analyse sales performance data to identify trends and opportunities for optimisation of your client base.

Qualifications:

- Proven success in B2B sales, with a focus on new business hunting alongside some experience of account management, ideally in the solar industry (but not required).

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

- Strong organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.

- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Knowledge of solar energy technologies, products, and industry trends is a plus.

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for client meetings, company meetings , and industry events.

- Own vehicle is required, but expenses will be paid accordingly

Education & Experience:

- Completed Leaving Cert (minimum)

- At least five years sales experience

- Evidence of Self Improvement (Courses, Training)

- Comprehensive IT skills

- Proven track record in meeting and exceeding targets

- Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop

- Impeccable communications skills

Benefits:

- Basic base salary with an uncapped commission structure (dependant on experience)
