Construction Project Manager (Solar & BESS) - Ireland

Leap29 have a fantastic opportunity which is available in Cork, as Construction Project Manager for Solar & BESS.projects. The position will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of solar energy projects. The project manager will work closely with a team of engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.

The responsibilities of a construction project manager in the solar industry may include:

* Preparing project proposals and budgets for solar energy projects.
* Developing project schedules and timelines.
* Coordinating with engineers and designers to ensure project plans meet client specifications and local regulations.
* Managing project budgets and tracking expenses.
* Ensure that Procurement teams implement some fair procurement processes in line with Ethic guidelines, as per the project schedule and budget, as per a contracting strategy
* Overseeing construction activities, ensuring the work is progressing according to schedule and meeting quality standards.
* When the financing process is not completed at RTB and shall be carried out under responsibility of the Construction Project Manager, they ensure that the Financing process milestones are met in compliance with the project schedule
* Managing subcontractors and coordinating their work on the project.
* Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Communicating with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or issues.
* Assess project Risk Management
* Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors.
* Managing project close-out, including final inspections and documentation.

To be successful as a construction project manager in the solar industry, candidates should have a strong understanding of solar energy systems and construction practices. You should be knowledgeable about local regulations and building codes relating to solar installations. Excellent organizational and communication skills are also essential, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Additionally, project managers in this field should be familiar with sustainability practices and renewable energy trends.
