Position: Contracts Manager/ Projects Manager – Solar PV

Reporting to: Managing Director

Direct Reports: Design & Costing Manager, Project Managers (2), Compliance Administrator

Location: Co. Tipperary, with an option for hybrid remote work approach

Function:

Reporting to the Managing Director and a member of the leadership team, the Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing the costing and installation of Commercial Solar PV projects. This role ensures that projects are accurately costed, delivered on time, within budget, and comply with all Health and Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the project preparation phase, including defining the team, reviewing and validating documentation, and procuring all equipment and subcontractors.
* Safely manage the execution of one or several PV Solar projects, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
* Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality and Health and Safety Authority (HSA) requirements.
* Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations.
* Take full responsibility for all project control processes, including cost control, contract management, and scheduling.
* Lead project team members within the organization and contractors.
* Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, providing progress updates and alternative plans to address potential project deviations.
* Interface directly with the client at the project level.
* Identify potential problems and take proactive measures to prevent risks, with contingency plans in place.
* Manage project contractual obligations.
* Conduct project reporting, both internal and external.
* Establish cost reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for project control.

Candidate Requirements:

* Degree in Engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, etc.)
* 3 years of experience in executing medium to large Solar PV projects (LV & MV)
* Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with medium to large projects, preferably in the energy sector
* Degree in Project Management or PMP certification is a plus
* Experience in Contract, Risk, and Procurement Management
* Deep knowledge of project controls (cost control, contract management, and scheduling)
* Working knowledge of planning software
* Expertise in cost control, including planning and preparing accurate project estimates and establishing cost reports
* Proficiency in HSE & Quality Management, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
