About the Opportunity
Customer Project Manager – Cloud Core Deployment (Telecoms)
Location: Remote (with occasional travel within European Union for meetings)
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a multi-domain telecoms programme focused on Core Network deployment in the cloud.
- Manage customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all delivery, issue resolution, and escalation matters.
- Develop, maintain, and control the programme baseline covering cost, scope, schedule, and quality.
- Prepare and manage comprehensive delivery plans, work schedules, and resource allocations.
- Oversee programme financials — including cost estimates, quarterly forecasts, revenue recognition, and margin optimization.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate programme risks and issues; lead change management and up-scope processes.
- Ensure all deliverables meet agreed milestones, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Drive internal and customer-facing reporting (weekly/monthly reviews, SteerCo presentations, risk registers, and forecasts).
- Support bid and contract preparation activities as needed.
- Provide clear, data-driven programme reporting and maintain project management tools and documentation.
About You
10+ years’ experience in telecoms project or programme management, with a proven record of delivering complex customer projects.
Strong background in core network deployment (EPC, 5G Core, IMS, or similar), preferably in cloud-native environments (NFV, containerized, or virtualized platforms).
In-depth understanding of telecom delivery processes, including financial management, risk and issue control, and stakeholder governance.
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and support.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer engagement skills.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project Online, PMAT, PCube, or similar).
Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
Deliverables
- End-to-end delivery plan for cloud core deployment and associated domains.
- Monthly SteerCo and progress reports for customer and internal stakeholders.
- Risk identification and mitigation plans.
- Accurate monthly financial and revenue forecasts.
- Programme-level performance tracking against approved baseline (scope, cost, schedule, quality).
