Job Description

The OnePay Execution Sr Portfolio Manager Sr manages multiple teams through other managers. The candidate must have an in-depth understanding of payments including ISO messaging standards. A good understanding of the payments industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.

The role requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of Payments within the overall Services' business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in the dependencies with other units within Services, i.e. Core Accounts, Liquidity etc.

Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing OnePay Modernization functional strategy across Payments Globally. Candidate will determine approach to implementing functional strategy working closely with OnePay Design Lead and across business, technology and operations partners across Services and markets.

Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the Payments OnePay Execution Strategy. Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses.

Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. May be doing involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities.

Responsibilities:

* Set the direction: help to define the product vision and strategy, and work with world-class engineers and members of cross-functional teams to execute on that vision
* Work closely with different stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities in defining product features
* Figure out what to build: own the long term view (3-5 years) and complete portfolio within the category/division
* Understands companywide assets and is able to align leadership of dependent teams on necessary structural and/or resource changes to deliver efficiencies
* Owns the test and learn roadmap to inform the product portfolio
* Develops new ideas/solutions outside product/service offering
* Collect customer and stakeholder input for the development of technical requirements and product priorities
* Design, build, and launch: aid in defining a clear direction that meets the strategic goals of the business, ensuring the team delivers on the goals
* Responsible for writing product requirements, user stories and manage a product roadmap
* Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure requirements are prioritized, implemented and validated
* Responsible for identifying and performing gap analysis on current product offering and future state
* Assess cross-project impacts and take steps to resolve issues, particularly those standing in the way of progress,
* Manage and optimize: prioritize among the myriad of opportunities to deliver on the user experience, define success and work with engineers, designers and key business leaders to deliver
* Analyze, manage, iterate and track the continued success of features in production
* Participate in process and quality improvement activities, and end of sprint and release retrospectives
* Leadership: demonstrates ability to attract senior talent and multiple functions from inside and outside Citi.
* Teaches others how to determine performance and sets a leadership bar
* Facilitates an understanding of broader organizational tenets and strategic goals for departments
* Recognizes trends for larger-scale development needs within and across teams and builds plan to develop skills
* Ensures team culture consistently demonstrates alignment with leadership principles; visibly ties department decisions to leadership principles
* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

* Relevant professional experience, including managerial experience
* Experience in a regulated industry in which privacy and security are paramount, AI and ML experience
* In-depth understanding of payments including ISO messaging standards
* Leadership experience in a context of profound organizational and cultural change
* Expert knowledge of the Design Thinking methodology and experience leading teams through the process of investigation, ideation and implementation
* Deep consumer product knowledge and passion around emerging technologies and how they will change experiences
* Deep market understanding with the ability to articulate market opportunities and customer needs to engineer regional based market strategies and solution roadmaps to goals and strategies of the business
* Possess comprehensive capabilities and product knowledge to architect targeted segment solutions leveraging existing capabilities and/or 3rd party commercial partnerships
* Demonstrated ability to deliver developer-focused tools and platforms

Education:

* Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred and managerial experience
