About the Opportunity

HV/MV Project Manager – Cork. Due to continued growth, our client, a leading construction company operating in Ireland, the UK, and internationally, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their expanding team in Cork.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering activities for the design, development, and delivery of HV substation and grid connection projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure technical compliance.
  • Support procurement by preparing technical scopes of work and evaluating vendor proposals.
  • Provide technical guidance during installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with IEC, IEEE, EN, and other applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers throughout the project life cycle.
  • Identify and address resourcing needs for current and upcoming projects.
  • Proactively assess and communicate project risks throughout all stages.
  • Collaborate with the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) function on all project-related matters.

Eligibility

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience in electrical engineering design and/or project management
  • In-depth knowledge of HV and MV network requirements in industrial settings, with a focus on resilience and system studies
  • Experience with energy management systems and integration of automated control systems into electrical networks
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required standards
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support others
