Information Technology Project Manager

Our client are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a daily rate contract basis

12 month contract with a hybrid working model

Looking for somebody with experience in Networks and Cloud Technology, including firewall migration, SDWAN or Private WAN Migration

Job Responsibilities

* The role centers around the management and delivery of a portfolio of projects, linked around a key technology theme
* The migration of legacy systems and infrastructure to the cloud, as well as the upgrades to existing or new applications
* Planning and directing the project deliverables so that they align with the strategic goals set out in Programmes
* Project mobilisation that includes support, development and review
* Stakeholder mapping and engagement
* Project monitoring, control and risk and issue management

Experience Required

* Have strong knowledge and proven career experience working with SDLC methodologies including Waterfall & Agile
* Experience in firewall migration, a SDWAN or private WAN migration, or a LAN refresh
* Experience in cloud technology that includes relevant networking and the associated security components
* Have 6-8 years of experience in a project management role
* Experience in working with third party suppliers in the delivery of business or IT change projects
* Experience working with remote teams and vendors.

Essential and Desirable Skills

* PM accreditation such Prince 2 / PMI
* A technical background
* A strong understanding of best practises, tools and techniques for project management management
* Ability to take ownership for project deliveries
* Understanding and ability to demonstrate expertise in Project Planning, Risk & Change management
