Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Excellence Planner to join our maintenance and engineering team in Manorhamilton Road, Sligo. This position reports to API Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will facilitate the smooth and efficient operation of the engineering & maintenance function by planning engineering activities using the company's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Roles And Responsibilities

* Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant maintenance is performed in a compliant manner.
* Maintain a maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts and maintenance history of plant equipment.
* Support Maximo Management of Change Updates for new & existing assets including but not limited to PM Updates, Job Plans, Spares etc.
* Track, analyse and improve Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP) key performance indicators (KPI’s) & parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, site maintenance compliance, schedule etc.
* Support ongoing quarterly MEP Consultations with the MEP Global Team.
* Report monthly MEP metrics to the MEP Global Team and weekly metrics to the site leadership team
* Attend Monthly MEP Global ECOPs and stay abreast of changes to the Global MEP Program
* Ensure adherence to company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
* Proficient in the use of Computer Management Maintenance system (Maximo).
* Perform internal audits on engineering systems and support external audits as required.
* Continuously review the maintenance schedules and liaise with the engineering team & Manufacturing planners to update regularly.
* Manage the outsourced third-party vendor for purchase of spare parts.
* Optimize spares holding to effective levels by carrying out cycle counts and ordering and issuing parts when required.
* Purchasing and receiving engineering parts and orders.
* Monitor sufficient inventories of spare parts and maintenance supplies, and initiate reordering when necessary.
* Demonstrate commitment towards achieving department targets
* Individual & cross training of engineering and maintenance teams as required
* Adhere to all relevant policies relating to quality and regulatory

Qualifications

* A third level qualification in Engineering or a relevant discipline or a Trade qualification plus 6+ years engineering experience (Pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred)
* Strong IT Skills are essential for this position (Excel, PowerBI)
* Experience using a CMMS is essential - Maximo experience is preferred
* Self-motivated with the ability to work with a high level of autonomy.
