Project Coordinator

About the Opportunity

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a proactive and delivery-focused Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of specialist projects within a live aviation environment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role will be heavily site-based with a strong emphasis on coordination during construction, stakeholder engagement, and real-time problem solving.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile infrastructure projects within the aviation sector, working closely with Contractors, design teams, and client stakeholders in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day project activities on site to ensure safe, efficient delivery of specialist works packages.
• Act as a key interface between Contractors, client representatives, and internal project teams.
• Support programme tracking, site progress reporting, and issue resolution during construction phases.
• Monitor site activities to ensure alignment with design intent, programme, and operational constraints.
• Proactively identify risks, constraints, and clashes, driving resolution in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Assist with management of site documentation, RFIs, inspections, and handover processes.
• Support delivery within live operational environments with minimal disruption to ongoing airport activities.
• Contribute to project meetings, workshops, and coordination sessions with Contractors and stakeholders.

About You

Experience in a Project Coordinator / Site Coordinator / Assistant PM role within construction or infrastructure projects. Demonstrable experience working alongside Contractors and multiple stakeholders during live construction environments (essential).

Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site coordination requirements. Proven ability to operate in high-paced environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to respond quickly to site issues and constraints.

Experience within aviation, transport, or complex infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
