One of Ireland’s leading developers that is dedicated to crafting outstanding developments and committed to innovation and best practices is currently seeking a dynamic and driven Project Director to join the business.

As a Project Director, you will report to the Construction Director and will be overall responsibility for the delivery of projects from pre-construction through to procurement, construction, and handover stages. You’ll ensure the project is successfully executed and finished to the required quality standards in line with regulations and the company’s exacting internal requirements.

Duties

* Lead of your Business Unit and will be accountable for delivering the overall vision and strategic direction of the project.
* Responsibility for project out-turn from preconstruction through procurement, construction, and handover stages.
* Lead and select the site management team responsible for construction delivery, design, and commercial management of the project.
* Main point of contact for key project stakeholders including statutory authorities, adjoining landowners/neighbours, and project partners.
* Engage with Planning/Development, in-house Design, and Sales and Marketing teams to refine the project design in line with market and customer expectations.
* Provide key inputs and oversight of the project for value-engineering and financial appraisal process from the pre-construction stage through to construction.
* Preparation of project execution plan including phasing strategy, contracting strategy, programme and risk mitigation plan.
* Oversight of the performance of the company’s supply chain subcontractors/suppliers and consultants.
* Set standards for project teams and hold teams to account.
* Ensuring works are carried out to the required quality (BCAR), health & safety, and environmental standards.
* Instil a strong safety culture and develop the capability of our project teams to take personal responsibility through strong visible leadership.
* Utilise the company’s project controls, performance management, and project reporting systems.
* Development of team and talent development the succession planning

What You’ll Need

* An engineering, surveying, construction management, or other related Degree / Higher Diploma.
* 12+ years’ experience in a leadership position within the construction industry. with a quality, design and commercial focus
* Track record of delivering large, complex residential or commercial construction projects.
* Strong leadership and people management skills with excellent relationship management skills.
* Excellent track record of building high-performing teams.
* In-depth industry knowledge of the subcontractor and supplier base, including successful prior relationships.
* Experience in managing senior stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams
* Excellent working knowledge of the latest building regulations and certification standards.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with a value – add mindset
* An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
