Project Director

About the Opportunity

A long-established UK-based provider of infrastructure and engineering services, specializing in transport, defense, and public sector projects, has set up operations in Dublin and is seeking a Project Director for the operational delivery of rail projects in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Business Director, Account Director, and managers to develop and manage annual business objectives, plans, and budgets for allocated contracts
• Own the P&L and implement the business plan for the assigned contract
• Manage performance, ensure delivery of service excellence, and improve profitability
• Lead and manage a team to deliver the contract agenda
• Lead on bidding and manage post-contract D&B contracts under NEC4

About You

Qualifications: Degree qualified desirable in a relevant discipline, Chartered in relevant discipline (Engineering or Project Management)
Skills: Able to take and be accountable for decisions, Customer Relationship Management, IT and Data analysis skills, Ability to understand, implement, and challenge commercial contracts
Experience: Demonstrated ability to implement and meet targets across multiple contracts, Rail civils experience on a large infrastructure project

Technical competencies include Visual felt Leadership, IOSH safety for senior executives, IOSH managing safely, Environmental awareness for managers, Behavioural health and safety (VFL). Behavioural competencies include showing commitment to and upholding company values, and implementing a customer-centric approach.
