About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HSE Manager to join our team on a high-profile pharmaceutical construction project in Limerick. This long-term contract role is integral to ensuring the safety, health, and environmental compliance of the project, contributing to the successful delivery of a state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the development, implementation, and management of HSE policies, procedures, and practices tailored to the pharmaceutical construction environment.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, including industry-specific standards for pharmaceutical facilities.
* Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections, and audits to proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards.
* Provide expert guidance and support to the project management team on all HSE matters, including the handling of hazardous materials and adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
* Coordinate and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs, including site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety education for all site personnel.
* Lead investigations into any incidents, accidents, or near misses, ensuring accurate reporting and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
* Collaborate with client representatives, regulatory bodies, and subcontractors to maintain stringent HSE standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Foster a strong safety culture on-site, promoting proactive engagement with HSE practices among all workers.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as an HSE Manager within the construction sector, with a strong preference for experience in pharmaceutical or similar high-specification projects.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish HSE legislation and industry best practices, particularly within the pharmaceutical sector.
* Relevant HSE qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are required, with additional certifications related to pharmaceutical construction being advantageous.
* Experience in managing HSE aspects of projects involving cleanrooms, laboratories, and other controlled environments.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire a diverse project team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
