This role is critical in managing vendor relationships, overseeing change management
processes, and ensuring successful project delivery from inception to close.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Vendor Management:
Vendor Coordination: Lead and coordinate with multiple vendors to ensure that all
project requirements are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
* Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, ensuring that deliverables, timelines, and costs are clearly defined and adhered to.
* Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess vendor performance against agreed metrics and service level agreements (SLAs), addressing any issues promptly to maintain project momentum.
* Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to foster collaboration and drive project success.
2. Change Management:
* Impact Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses to understand the impact of proposed changes on the organization and its processes.
* Change Planning: Develop and implement detailed change management plans that minimize disruption and ensure smooth transitions.
* Communication Strategies: Create effective communication strategies to keep all stakeholders informed about changes and their implications.
* Training and Support: Ensure that appropriate training and support are provided to stakeholders affected by changes, enhancing their ability to adapt.
3. Managing Relationships with Tough Stakeholders:
* Stakeholder Identification: Identify all key stakeholders and understand their interests, expectations, and levels of influence.
* Conflict Resolution: Utilize strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to address and manage differing viewpoints and concerns.
* Engagement Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to engage and build trust with challenging stakeholders, ensuring their support and buy-in for project initiatives.
* Regular Communication: Maintain regular, transparent communication with stakeholders to keep them informed and involved throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Reporting on Project Milestones Using Waterfall Methodologies:
Project Planning: Create detailed project plans outlining key milestones,
deliverables, timelines, and resources using waterfall methodologies.
* Milestone Tracking: Monitor and report on project progress against established milestones, ensuring that any deviations are promptly addressed.
* Status Updates: Provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting achievements, risks, and any corrective actions taken.
* Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, decisions, and changes to ensure clarity and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Experience:
Extensive Experience: Over 6 years of experience as a Senior IT Project Manager,
demonstrating a successful track record in managing complex IT projects using
Waterfall/Agile methodologies.
Sector Knowledge: Experience in the public or semi-state sector is highly desirable,
providing valuable insights into the unique challenges and requirements of these
environments.
Professional Qualification: Must hold a recognized project management
qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) to ensure adherence to best practices and industry
standards.
