We are seeking professionals with direct experience in the railway industry who understand the nuances of delivering and managing data-intensive projects, from infrastructure and operations to reporting and analytics.Company’s data environment is hosted on Microsoft Azure, so familiarity with Azure or similar cloud-based data platforms would be beneficial.
Outline ScopeScopeThe selected Project Manager must have significant experience in delivering high-profile IT Data projects. While the primary focus will be on data-related projects, there may be instances where they are required to manage other technical project types.
Primary Responsibilities:• Manage and facilitate all required project workstreams to ensure successful delivery.• Develop and maintain detailed project plans in MS Project.• Track actual progress against planned timelines.• Monitor and manage planned vs. actual expenditure.• Oversee testing and release management activities.• Ensure successful, end-to-end delivery of all project phases.• Develop and maintain IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.• Work effectively in complex technical environments.• Operate within a PMO framework, ensuring all required artefacts are developed and maintained to support project delivery.• Liaise with the National Transport Authority (NTA) to ensure all necessary project controls and reports are in place.• Monitor relevant SLA/contract metrics and take appropriate action when required.• Provide regular updates to the CIO, Head of PMO, senior management, and relevant committees on project progress and key issues.• Transition completed projects into operational service.• Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Required SkillsetThe Project Manager(s) must have full lifecycle experience managing complex IT projects, particularly within the Data & Analytics domain. Candidates should demonstrate substantial expertise by having successfully delivered at least three high-profile data-related projects, ideally within similar technical environments.
Mandatory Certifications:• PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent formal Project Management certification• ITIL Certification• Agile Certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM))• Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Certification (DP-203 or equivalent)
