About the Opportunity

Project Manager, Power Transmission

Location: Co. Kildare

Industry: Underground Cabling & Infrastructure

Scope of Work: A new role in this leading, highly regarded, engineering services business that lead in the planning, execution and completion of significant power transmission projects from inception to hand-over.

Responsibilities

  • To be fully accountable for the delivery of the projects, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, in accordance with the contract requirements and to budget.
  • To ensure that all project objectives are met by coordinating resources, managing timelines and budgets, mitigating risks, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Sets the overall standard on the projects/contract; ensure the project requirements are identified and delivered; and to identify issues and ensure they are resolved in a controlled and timely manner.
  • To ensure contract programmes are planned, reviewed, and delivered.
  • Line management of Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and Section Managers.
  • Responsible for all commercial activities associated with the project including the delivery of the gross margin, management of cost control and other key commercial and financial metrics.

About You

The ideal profile is someone with:

  • Experience in underground cabling, civils, or power infrastructure project.
  • Experience within a Project Managerial role.
  • Experience in managing complex site-based projects.
  • Experience of working on complex multi-discipline Enhancement projects, delivering within programme and cost controls.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to develop close working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
