Role Profile

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing Project Management team for Unispace Life Sciences. This role is based out of our Engineering Center of Excellence in Mahon, Cork. Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for Life Sciences design and construction projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors.Oversee the design process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and client requirements within the Life Sciences sector (pharmaceutical, biotech, etc.).Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing effective solutions.Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.Maintain strong communication and build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and forecasts.Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly managed.Contribute to the development and improvement of project management methodologies and best practices within the Life Sciences context.Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project management team members.Oversee site activities and ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant portion focused on delivering design and/or construction projects within the Life Sciences sector (pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, advanced therapeutics, medical device).Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex Life Sciences projects from initiation to close-out.Strong understanding of the specific regulatory requirements and quality standards within the Life Sciences industry (e.g., GMP, GAMP).Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and working collaboratively with engineering, design, and construction professionals.Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Prince2) and tools.Strong financial management skills, including budget development and cost control.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.Demonstrated ability to problem-solve effectively and make sound decisions under pressure.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.A relevant degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.
