Job Description:
Our client requires a Technical Project Manager to plan and manage related technology projects from inception to delivery, ensuring a seamless customer experience and efficient build and delivery processes.
Term: 6 Month Daily Rate contract.
Job Responsibilities:
* Plan and manage a group of related technology projects or activities in a coordinated way from inception through successful delivery.
* Focus on the customer experience, the build and delivery processes, and the problems to be solved.
* Work across multiple scrum teams, which may be cross-cutting across products, teams, and technologies, or focused on a single product or feature set.
* Align dependent organisations and mitigate all blocking issues.
* Collaborate with external technology providers and customers.
* Work with limited guidance, seeking advice as needed, as the product and delivery strategy are defined, but the design is not.
* Understand the business and technical requirements for the solutions being built.
* Recognise complex designs and propose simplified solutions by collaborating with software design engineers and technical project managers.
* Help customers and engineering teams make trade-off decisions by considering business goals, technical platform strategy, customer experience, and maintainability.
* Identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
* Write documentation as required.
* Partner with industry vendors for technology or user experience design components, supporting our architecture and working on implementation plans and roadmaps.
* Communicate project issues and status concisely and accurately for senior leadership, escalating blocking issues when appropriate.
* Communicate progress, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues/risks at multiple levels.
* Work across teams to optimize processes.
* Regularly review metrics and proactively seek new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility to ensure the program stays aligned with organisational objectives.
Experience Required:
* Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a project management role within the technology sector.
* Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, complex technology projects.
* Strong understanding of design approaches and technologies in the relevant area.
* Experience working across multiple scrum teams and aligning dependent organisations.
* Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks at multiple levels.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with external technology providers and customer management.
* Strong documentation and communication skills.
* Ability to propose simplified solutions for complex designs.
* Proficiency in optimizing processes across teams.
* Familiarity with industry vendors for technology and user experience design components.
Educational Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognised institution.
