Albany Beck is an award-winning consultancy specialising in Technology, Risk and Compliance primarily within Financial Services. We work with top tier Investment Banks, Asset Management firms, Hedge Funds and FinTechs.
We are currently partnered with an Asset Management client based in Dublin, we're looking for a Technical Project Manager, to work on an exciting piece of work.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager with extensive experience in Scrum methodologies to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing technical projects, with a strong emphasis on technical engineering and data management. This role requires a deep understanding of asset management processes and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, technical requirements, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including technical specifications, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to ensure project viability. Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements. Ensure all technical aspects of the project are aligned with business goals and objectives. Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Scrum Leadership:Act as Scrum Master for multiple Scrum teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives). Coach team members on Agile principles and practices, ensuring adherence to Scrum framework. Remove impediments and foster a collaborative environment to enhance team performance.
Stakeholder Management:Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project objectives. Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Quality Assurance:Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Conduct regular project reviews and implement improvements based on feedback.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, preferably in an asset management environment.Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies, with certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) preferred.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Preferred Skills:Understanding of regulatory requirements in the asset management industry.Advanced degree or additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
