Job Description

About the Opportunity

A Dublin-based client is seeking a highly experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead the full end-to-end delivery of complex networking and security infrastructure projects. This position involves managing the entire project lifecycle — from planning and design through to implementation, testing, and customer handover. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional technical teams, external partners, and client stakeholders, ensuring that all projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and to high technical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the planning, coordination, and execution of technical infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with internal engineers and architects to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Oversee procurement processes for networking and security equipment.
  • Manage project risks, budget constraints, scheduling, and scope changes.
  • Serve as the main liaison between customers, internal teams, and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders through regular progress updates, steering meetings, and reporting.
  • Guide and motivate project contributors (internal and external) to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Participate in initial deployment, configuration, and integration activities as needed.
  • Identify and flag new commercial opportunities during ongoing engagements.

  • Practical experience with hands-on deployment, system integration, and supporting engineers during implementation phases.
  • Skilled in producing and reviewing technical documentation and network diagrams (e.g., using Microsoft Visio).
  • Familiarity with data centre environments including structured cabling, racking, and power distribution.
  • Experience working with enterprise and carrier-grade hardware from vendors such as Cisco, IBM, HP, Checkpoint, F5, etc.
  • Strong vendor and third-party management experience, particularly within mobile network environments.
  • Up-to-date awareness of telecoms and networking technologies, standards, and customer expectations.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse technical teams.
  • Comfortable working on-site with clients and open to short-notice travel within the Dublin area.
  • Full, clean driving license is required.
