The roleAs our business expands, we are seeking to recruit a Delivery Manager to manage our Dublin Office. You will be accountable for successfully securing and delivering a programme of projects to meet our Client’s needs. Reporting to the Associate Director, you will provide strategic leadership to and teams working within your business areaIntegrate safety within everything we doDevelop and maintain specific client relationship(s), with regular reviews of project performance, and active management of issuesInspire team to delight the clientAccountable for the performance of the P&L across the ProgrammeIdentify and own key opportunities within the Programme and make resources available to secure work against theseSet direction and targets for Programme and communicate these effectively to all team membersCommunicate market intelligence and suspects/opportunities identified as a result of this to the Business Development teamKeep Associate Director informed of Programme performance at an appropriate levelAgreeing and owning budgetary targets for turnover and margin within the Programme and reporting progress monthly against theseWork with the Business Development team to identify opportunities and provide appropriate resources to convert these into secured ordersEstablish desirable and required attributes of the Programme and ‘what matters most for each of the stakeholdersSegregate the Programme into manageable Projects and agree on the appointment of appropriate and competent Discipline Leads and Project ManagersRegularly review the resource and project plans with the Project Directors across the Programme to identify and/or pre-empt resourcing conflicts.Present performance of the Programme at monthly finance review meetings with the Business Director, explaining any variances and providing amended forecast figures where necessaryDelivery of, or exceeding project commercial and financial performance targets through rigorous management of costs, billing and change control, and driving commercial best practiceRecognise when issues need to be escalated to the client and stakeholders and when compromises have to be made within the programmeAssure that the Programme is being managed to achieve the 3 project drivers – cost, time and quality – to the complete satisfaction of the client What you will bring to us:Excellent Client Relationship Management skillsExcellent communicator and motivator of peopleSuccessful delivery of large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects with experience in either Engineering or Project Management within a consultancy environmentA broad experience in both design and construction environmentsChartered Programme Management/Leadership/Engineer or equivalent professional qualificationPrince 2/APM accredited (or equivalent)Computer literate and thoroughly conversant with MS Office suite and project management software (i.e. MS Project, Primavera)Risk and/or Value Management trainingUnderstand SAP, and its use to set up projects, periodic reporting processes (or equivalent)Proven experience in managing the integration of a Programme of workCommercially astute, with a good working knowledge of contractsExperience in managing P&LPrevious sector experience and knowledge of sector standardsEnvironmental awareness What we can offer you:At Amey, we recognise that our biggest asset is our people.
