Position: IT Project Manager

The Organisation

Animal Health Ireland is a not-for-profit, public-private partnership, tasked with controlling livestock diseases not subject to international regulation, with the objective of improving the profitability and sustainability of Irish farmers and the agri-food sector. The advice provided by AHI is developed by a number of Technical Working Groups and the delivery of its major programmes is overseen by cross-industry Implementation Groups.

Description

A vacancy has arisen for the role of IT Project Manager, which will involve managing the IT requirement of the organisation, including thetechnical design,development and implementationofapplications,meeting required deadlinesandensuringasuccessfuloutcome.ThesuccessfulcandidatewillreporttotheChiefExecutiveOfficer.

CandidateRequirements

Candidates should have skills and a minimum of two years experience in the following areas:

CRMDatabasemanagementAbilitytouseMicrosoftPowerPlatformatanadvancedlevelITProjectmanagement,includingtechnicaldesignandimplementationofnewapplicationsExperiencewritingtechnicalproceduresICThelpdeskexperienceWorkingwithExcelintermsofdataintegrationandwarehousingExperiencewithexternalsuppliermanagement Candidates should be able to demonstrate:AsoundpracticalknowledgeofICTtechnicalarchitectures,ICTsystemsdevelopmentandservicedeliveryAnaptitudeandinteresttoremainuptodateonICTtrendsanddevelopmentsAnunderstandingofcurrentdevelopmentsintheapplicationofinformationsystemsandableto assimilate and interpret advice from specialists technical or otherwise

The role requires the candidate to be highly organised, motivated and committed to delivering high-quality results, with good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and with flexibility as part of a team. Be well organised and practical with a logical, analytical approach to problem solving and show excellent attention to detail.

Educational Requirements

A bachelors degree in computer science, information technology or IT project management.

Salary range: €45,000 - €50,000
