Key Responsibilities Of The Role

Responsible for a project or portfolio of projects (regional / sectoral)Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOPReporting to Planning DepartmentReporting to Business Unit / Project ManagementDeveloping and maintaining schedules for pre-construction / construction / commissioningDeveloping and maintaining progress databasesProgress reportingMilestone projections, delay / float path analysisEarned Value Management systemsMonitoring schedule performance and productivityAuditing progress on siteAttending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractorsPreparation of tender schedulesPreparation of histogramsLeading planning meetingsSupporting weekly workface planning systemsResource / cash loading of schedulesProviding data for payment applicationsCompleting contract review reportsResponsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reportsMaking relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutionsRecording delay and disruptionAssisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputesTravelling to projects in order to carry out the above, if requiredTraining staff, if requiredCovering Senior Project Planner responsibilities when required

Essential Criteria For The Role

Ability to carry out the roles and responsibilities as defined aboveBackground in construction-related degree or trade3+ years’ experience in Project Planning of large construction projectsExcellent communication skillsExcellent IT and software skills (including Oracle P6 and Excel)Proven ability to work effectively in a teamProven ability to work within strict deadlinesKnowledge of and commitment to Health & Safety
